shir Hashirim - Song of Songs

The Song of Songs (Shir HaShirim) is one of the five Megillot of the Hebrew Bible, traditionally attributed to King Solomon. Written as a dialogue between two lovers, Jewish tradition reads it as an allegory of the love between Hashem and the people of Israel.

It is customary to read it on Shabbat, especially on the Shabbat of Chol HaMoed Pesach, because of the connection between the springtime imagery in the text and the Exodus from Egypt. Find the eight chapters of the text below.
